Get an EDGE up on your career
Black & Veatch Intern Newsletter 2024
Through EDGE, Black & Veatch’s early-career rotation program, you’ll jump-start your skills and experience with exposure to a broad range of roles, markets and projects — all in the first few years of your career.
Interns accepted into the EDGE program participate in rotations lasting 12-18 months depending on project needs. Opportunities are available in all major BV businesses and functional areas, including engineering, construction, consulting, estimating, project controls, safety, proposals and corporate operations. Rotations include a minimum of one field and one office role, giving you a holistic view of different aspects of the company.
EDGE helps you develop your skills while you build a network within BV. You'll work with mentors, champions and other EDGE cohort members who provide guidance and support. Upon completing three rotations or being in the program for four years, you'll graduate from EDGE with a wealth of experience and knowledge you’ll use throughout your career.
Recent EDGE graduates had this to say about their experiences:
·“EDGE helped me succeed in my day-to-day work through the vast connections that I have developed. The relationships I built helped me learn and grow as an engineer.”
“I joined Black & Veatch with my career path still undecided. EDGE helped me identify and pursue a career that matches my skill set and interests.”
“EDGE gave me the confidence to make career changes early on. This had a huge impact, enabling me to experiment with work outside of conventional engineering design – and giving me the courage to change my path again down the road when the opportunity presents itself.”
Watch for more information on EDGE during your internship, including the application and interview process.
